First Day at Work - Friday April 7th

Friday was officially my first day of OJT (on the job training) at Le Cellier (the top rated restaurant in WDW!). It started with clocking into CDS (cast deployment system) at 11:15am, and my shift lasted until 5:15. I started up at the podium shadowing some of the greeters and seaters for a few runs, then I started to do it by myself.
Once a table is assigned, a ticket is automatically printed stating the table number and server name. I then have to greet the party, seat them at the right table, introduce them to the restaurant and the section they are sitting in (with relavent trivia on the province).
I really enjoyed starting work - it allowed me to meet more people, and see what the next year will be like. All of the cast members & managers are great - I seem to get along great with all of them - they are all very welcoming. During the course of the afternoon there was only one unhappy person - who complained of having to wait 20 minutes. I had to deal with people who were not happy with the assigned tables, needed special accomodations for their children, etc. The great thing is that I have not seen anyone leave dissappointed.
Upon clocking out on the system, there is a thank you message from Mickey - thanking you for helping create the magic. All in all I am enjoying what I am doing (at least for now)
After work a few of us went to Downtown Disney for dinner at Raglan Road (an Irish restaurant) which had great food.
