Hi Everyone! Starting March 28th, I will be working in the Canadian Pavilion at EPCOT for a year, as a cultural representative, participating in the W.D.W. International Program. If you are ever visiting WDW in the next year, be sure to email me and drop by EPCOT's Canadian Pavilion to say hi. Thank you for visiting my site, and I hope you enjoy my Florida experience, as much as I do.

Sunday began later than the last few days; just after 10am. We caught the bus at least an hour ahead of time to make sure we made it okay. There was Food & Beveridge training and presentations from 2 cast members. We were also given online access to the Cast Member Portal (new, info, events) and were assigned some self-directed online courses on saftey and operations.

After the day's training, we traveled to Epcot to see the park before we see it from backstage tomorrow. Some of us had'nt been before - we all had a great time.

We went for Fish & Chips for dinner before Illuminations.

Today (Monday) was a very long but very exciting day. It was Epcot "Discovery Day". The day began waking up at 6am, and taking the 7am bus to be at Epcot for 8am. It started with a overview presentation and historical video, followed by a tour of the park. We went on Spaceship Earth, visited Ice Station Cool, toured the world showcase pointing out places of interent, and had a special surprise (that we took an oath not to talk about). After our lunch in the Cast Member cafeteria (Subway), the 4 of us (Canadians) traveled to the backstage area behind Canada for basic training and orientation. The restaurant is very big with a large number of staff. It should be a fun place to work at.

After touring Epcot, the 4 of us went to costuming to find the right costumes & sizes. It was fun to see all of the different clothing options, from hats to ties. We were each allowed to sign out 5 outfits. After we returned home, we went back out to Wal Mart to go shopping. Tomorrow will be our final day of training, followed by 2 days off, and then 2 days of on the job training.
