Hi Everyone! Starting March 28th, I will be working in the Canadian Pavilion at EPCOT for a year, as a cultural representative, participating in the W.D.W. International Program. If you are ever visiting WDW in the next year, be sure to email me and drop by EPCOT's Canadian Pavilion to say hi. Thank you for visiting my site, and I hope you enjoy my Florida experience, as much as I do.

Clearwater

This morning Pierre-Luc invited me along with his parents to Clearwater for the day. We drove by the original Hooters, which I am sure I will return to. The weather was great, the water was crystal clear, and the water was very warm. I managed to get close to a group of pelicans, and managed to get a great picture as one was trying to attack me. We wandered onto the end of the pier where we were able to get some good views of some dolphins.

Within the span of 1/2 hour the weather changed drastically. Clouds moved in, and instantly out of nowhere there was a huge gust of wind, which brought in the storm. Sand was blown everywhere on the beach, and could be felt on the pier, and umbrellas went flying into the ocean! We then went to dinner at local restuarant named Britty's where we had an amazing dinner. And by the time we were finished, the storm had cleared up, we went back in the ocean for an hour at sunset, then returned home. A great day off.

MGM, AK, Ohana's. MK

One day before work me and Christine went to the Yacht and Beach club for lunch at Beaches and Cream. The next day, the two of us and Jorden, went to MGM in the morning. We went in to see Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and we came out and it was pouring!

The next day I woke up to firefighters across the hall, and a firetruck outside my building. It must have been a false alarm. Me and Christine had the same day off so we both went to the AK, to ride Everest, which she had yet to be on. We then went to Ohana's at the Polynesian for dinner. Its one of the top restaurants at WDW where they serve all you can eat through a server. It was a ton of good food. A great time. We then went to the Magic Kingdom to catch the fireworks and go on a couple of rides before closing. We also managed to catch the late Spectromagic parade.

Christine, Pierre-Luc, Mara, and Myself went to Epcot for the evening. We went to a great dinner in Japan, then wandered around after the park closed, to take pictures of the storm.
Another night after work, I met Christine, Jared, and Mara at MGM.
The other morning before work, me and Christine went to the Grand Floridian and rented something that is known as a "Water Mouse". A little two seater speed boat. It was a ton of fun. We then went to the magic kingdom for lunch and a few rides.

MK EMH Con't, C.R.O.W. Race Day, Server Training

Our time was 6:21, enough to place us in 5th place. If we had have been 30 seconds quicker, we would have moved onto the finals. 5th out of 60 teams is still pretty amazing, the best canadian time ever.
Right after the race I went to my server/wine training, where I wore a polo shirt (which I was told was allowed). This one lady made me wear this stupid lab coat so I could stay in the class. Does this look better than a polo shirt?

AK, Canoe Races of the World

One afternoon me and Pierre-Luc went to the Animal Kingdom, went to Tuskers for lunch and visited Christine and went on the Safari. The next morning I got up at 6am to go rowing at the Magic Kingdom before the park opened. I am part of the Canadian team of the Canoe Races of the World ("Around the world in 8.0 minutes"), a competition between different cast member teams. The first "test run" day 7/10 of us competed and got just over 7 minutes. The actual qualifying race will be on Monday morning.

Beaches & Cream, Clean-up

Last week a Stefanie, Shauna, and myself went to Beaches & Cream to have the "kitchen sink". That involves 8 different scoops of ice cream, as well as every topping they had, including brownies, oreos, peanut butter, you name it..... It was tons of fun, and very good.

I also got a new queen size bed from Walmart (air matress) and installed it into my room. Also, me and Pierre-Luc really cleaned up our kitchen, then celebrated by having a BBQ.

Yacht & Beach Club, Rain!

After the SALSA sale (Spend a little, save alot) I headed to the Yacht and Beach club pool before work. I think its the best pool - deepest, it flows around, and there is sand on the bottom! After that I headed to work where I was greeter all day. Its really "fun" greating when its really hot, and when it rains. It backs up the reservations, people run for cover, and tempers flare. But I love the challenge. After work I ran to the bus through the rain, which of course picked up mid-way. I got soaked!

While at the Magic Kingdom we stopped in Toon Town to visit Shayna, went on Pirates again, and saw Wishes.
I then went to Patrick's awesome Pirates party, complete with pirate themed food and drinks, and then we watched the movie. At the end of the night, we all added our names to different loacations on a map that Patrick made.

The next morning (same morning) Christine, Jorden, Lisa, and myself went to the Salsa sale for 7 am, meaning we had to be ready for 6. There were 3 huge tents, complete with 26 cash registers..... The sale goes on for at least another week... I did'nt find much: :-)
Just a big fig, Tommy Bahama clothes, and lots of Disney stuff. The merchandise changes daily, so I plan on returning.... Posted by Picasa
